“And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word.” 1 Kings 18:21 (KJV)

EDITOR’S NOTE: What goes on at the Burning Man Orgy Room is not love, and it has nothing to do with love. It is a pagan orgy, like what you see where the Bible talks about Baal worship in the Old Testament. In the church of the One World Religion, open sexual activity will be featured as part of their “worship service” during the Tribulation.

Among the attractions at the yearly event, which sees tens of thousands of people gather for at least a week of rebellious mayhem , is the Orgy Dome.

Burning Bush is the story of the political intrigue and fight for freedom in communist Czechoslovakia following the self-sacrifice by Jan Palach, the young student who set fire to himself in Prague in January 1969, and the legal efforts of his family to clear his name in the face of the oppressive communist propaganda machine.

BURNING BUSH is a three-part film created for HBO by world-renowned Polish director Agnieszka Holland.

Based on actual events and characters, this drama focuses on the self-sacrifice of a student, Jan Palach, who set himself on fire in a protest against the Soviet occupation of Czechoslovakia in 1969. Young female lawyer Dagmar Burešová led the legal fight brought by his family against the communist politician who slandered Palach’s name and his sacrifice for freedom.

This emotional story of the actions of a student and the bravery of a young lawyer is, at its heart, a story of basic human values such as truth, honor, justice and courage. Their fight for freedom and moral principles, in a time of censorship and oppression, eventually led to the unification of an oppressed nation, a struggle which defeated the totalitarian regime twenty years later.

It starts in ancient Greece with “The Father of Lies” Herodotus and ends with that vile convicted criminal Dr. Zahi Hawass making it up as he goes along on your television.

The whole concoction is now a metaphorical desperate man clinging to a tree. A tsunami of reality borne on an untamed cyber sea is crashing down upon him.

A hundred feet beneath the waves of Japan’s Ryukyu Islands lies a step pyramid carved into solid stone .

Yet those who have never dived on it claim it must be a natural formation because it would have to have been constructed at least twelve thousand years ago, before the glaciers melted, and at a time when “there were only hunter gatherers that lived in caves and were incapable of building anything.”

I wrote this article three years ago. It is still one of my favorites. Read it and decide whether John Steinbeck was a contemptible communist or a courageous man who confronted the government and the criminal bankers with truth. Is fighting for the little guy a noble or detestable trait? You decide.

John Steinbeck wrote his masterpiece The Grapes of Wrath  at the age of 37 in 1939, at the tail end of the Great Depression. Steinbeck won the Nobel Prize and Pulitzer Prize for literature. John Ford then made a classic film adaption in 1941, starring Henry Fonda. It is considered one of the top 25 films in American history. The book was also one of the most banned in US history. Steinbeck was ridiculed as a communist and anti-capitalist by showing support for the working poor. Some things never change, as the moneyed interests that control the media message have attempted to deflect the blame for our current Depression away from their fraudulent deeds.

The novel stands as a chronicle of the Great Depression and as a commentary on the economic and social system that gave rise to it. Steinbeck’s opus to the working poor reverberates across the decades. He wrote the novel in the midst of the last Fourth Turning  Crisis. His themes of man’s inhumanity to man, the dignity and rage of the working class, and the selfishness and greed of the moneyed class ring true today.

Steinbeck became the champion of the working class. When he decided to write a novel about the plight of migrant farm workers, he took his task very seriously. To prepare, he lived with an Oklahoma farm family and made the journey with them to California. Seventy years later the plight of the working class is the same. If Steinbeck were alive today he would live with a Michigan auto manufacturing family making a journey to fantasyland of green energy, where automobiles ran on corn and sunshine.

Burning Bush ( Czech : Hořící keř ) is a 2013 three-part mini-series created for HBO by Polish director Agnieszka Holland . Based on real characters and events, this haunting drama focuses on the personal sacrifice of a Prague history student, Jan Palach , who set himself on fire in 1969 in protest against the Soviet occupation of Czechoslovakia in the previous year. Dagmar Burešová , a young female lawyer, became part of his legacy by defending Palach's family in a trial against the communist government, a regime which tried to dishonour Palach’s sacrifice, a heroic action for the freedom of Czechoslovakia.

The fight for freedom, for moral principles, self-sacrifice and protest in those desperate times led to the moral unification of a repressed nation, which twenty years later defeated the totalitarian regime. The anniversary of Jan Palach’s death inspired a new generation of students to start protests that led to the eventual fall of communism in Czechoslovakia, part of the eventual destruction of the Iron Curtain .

Lawyer Dagmar Burešová, who spent her life representing dissident opposition leaders, became the first Minister of Justice in a free Czechoslovakia.

The film is dedicated to Jan Palach , Jan Zajíc , Evžen Plocek , Ryszard Siwiec and to all who sacrificed their lives while fighting for freedom.

"Beaver!" "Beaver up the stairs." Some guy in chinos at my Los Angeles public high school would shout out as an up-skirt view opened on a staircase. In the 1960's, a high school girl's pubic hair marked the site we all wanted to see, to touch, to enter. Pubic hair was iconic. It marked pleasures yet to come. We all hoped to get there.

In the avant-garde literature of those days, female pubic hair was everywhere. Not today: Pubic hair has gone missing.

"He's never seen it," a friend recounted about his good-looking, sexually-active collegiate son.

"Snatch," he replied. "It's like a princess phone. He sleeps with girls all the time. He's never seen a woman's pubic hair."
